CTET stands for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a national-level examination conducted in India by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The purpose of the CTET is to assess the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for classes I to VIII in schools affiliated with the CBSE board and various other government and private schools across the country. The CTET exam is held twice a year, usually in July and December, and candidates who qualify are awarded a CTET eligibility certificate which remains valid for a period of seven years from the date of declaration of result.
